34th Annual Accounting Conference

May 11 2015

Orlando, FL – Gary A. Forster, Managing Partner of the Orlando-based law firm of Forster Boughman & Lefkowitz (www.fbl-law.com) was a recent keynote speaker at the 34th Annual Accounting Conference held at the University of Central Florida, Kenneth G. Dixon School of Accounting. The seminar took place on Wednesday, May 6, through Friday, May 8, 2015.

“It was an honor addressing such an esteemed group of financial professionals,” said Forster. “My goal was to provide CPAs with insight into the planning strategies available to protect wealth from creditors. Successful asset protection depends on effective planning and proper implementation before facing creditor claims.”

Mr. Forster’s presentation, The Essentials of Asset Protection: What Every CPA Needs to Know, focused on protective entities like partnerships, LLC’s and trusts; tenants by entirety; exempt assets and the Fraudulent Transfers Act, which defines the parameters of asset protection.

Attorney Gary A. Forster practices in domestic and international asset protection, sophisticated estate planning, corporate and tax law. His broad experience in domestic and international legal issues allows him to counsel businesses and individual clients regarding matters ranging from LLC and trust structuring to corporate reorganizations and tax planning. Mr. Forster is a member of the Florida and the District of Columbia Bars, and the U.S. Tax Court. He is an honors graduate of Tufts University (BA) and the University of Florida, Frederic G. Levin College of Law (JD, LLM). He also writes and lectures frequently on the topics of asset protection, international tax and corporate law.
