Mastering Negotiations: Using and Countering Hardball Tactics
In this seminar, we explore hardball tactics that can undermine productive negotiations, from extreme opening offers, deceptive anchoring, and bluffing to distractions, red herrings, and other strategic diversions. We also examine power moves such as artificial time limits, unreasonable conditions, ultimatums, intimidation, silence, and walking out, along with delay tactics, false concessions, and nibbling techniques that wear down resolve. Attendees learn practical strategies to stay focused, maintain control, and navigate tough negotiation environments with confidence while protecting their interests and achieving successful outcomes.
